The Cathedral of Our Merciful Saviour is the Episcopal Church in Faribault, MN. It was the original Cathedral of the Diocese of Minnesota, and continues to be a Cathedral today. The Episcopal Church is part of the world-wide Anglican Communion.
Our Mission Statement:
The mission of the Cathedral of Our Merciful Saviour is to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ and reach out in His Name as a loving Christian community which is seeking to grow in faith, commitment and worship.
Many groups and individuals interested in the First Cathedral's historic significance visit each year. Tours are available during office hours (Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to Noon), after Sunday services, and by appointment. Call the office at 507-334-7732. Free brochures on the Cathedral's history are available in the tract racks. Cards, souvenir plates, historical books, and other items are available for sale. Tours are free, but donations for the Cathedral's upkeep are gratefully accepted. The Cathedral is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
